Cape Cod marks the southernmost border of the Gulf of Maine and is made up of fifteen towns subdivided into villages. The iconic Sagamore Bridge and Bourne Bridge mark the only two ways on and off the peninsula. The two main Islands, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard combine with Monomoy Island, Monomoscoy Island, Popponesset Island and Seconsett Island to make "the Islands" completing the phrase "Cape Cod and the Islands"

The Cape Cod National Seashore is an American treasure with incredible views, landscapes, and wildlife.  Once slated for housing subdivisions, a substantial portion of this beautiful area fell under federal protection when President John F. Kennedy made the entire area part of the Cape Cod National Sea Shore and preserved it for all future generations to enjoy the untouched beauty. Walking the shores is like taking a step back in time as you can imagine the early settlers reaching the shores and calling the land home.

I came into this world at the same time Kennedy was signing legislation to protect Sea Shores from Point Reyes National Seashore in California to Race Point on Cape Cod. Over 43,000 acres are protected and include ponds, woods, and nearly 40 miles of seashore along the Atlantic-facing Eastern shore of the Cape.

It's a paradise for those who love sand, sea and surf and has beauty and history to fill the soul. My love of photography, connection to the sea and fascination with lighthouses makes Cape Cod the perfect New England hang out.  The amazing resurgence of the almost extinct Osprey is a testament to how we humans can help protect many of the endangered species on our planet and we're now able to visit the cape and see these amazing creatures.

Bike paths along the ocean, lighthouses in every cove, the fresh smell of seafood and the sound of the ocean filling the air.  It's a magical place with an endless supply of activities to fill your days and nights.  Catch a sunrise on a beach, swim in the warm waters of Cape Cod Bay, walk miles of the National Seashore, visit the quaint New England Villages like Chatham and see New England in all its glory.
